Reading

Look what the cat dragged in...

...or in my case, I ordered and the mailman brought to me. ;)

So I thought it would be nice to look at some reading spaces.

Lovely spaces

Room #2: The wall (paint)

At first I wanted to put wallpaper on the big wall that runs through the entry and the hall. I love this wallpaper because it gives us the opportunity to put up all our photos for our kids to see each day.
But when it came to buying it I thought it was a little bit too much so I decided to paint the wall instead.

We went to the store three times before we got the perfect color.

(The "right" color is in the middle)

I can´t show you much for now but....

*TA*DA*

This is at least the color that the camera sees. :)

Room #2: Entry and hallway

The entry and the hallway downstairs are the next rooms we´re remodeling.

When I was young someone told me the entry was the face of the house because that is the first thing people see.

I don't like the way those two rooms look at the moment. I think they are very dull and not representing.

Here are some photos:

Pretty boring, right?

...but not for long! :)

Room #1: Reading area

Our little guy loves to read so we wanted to give him space for his books.

We got this chair for our daughter when she was one years old. It had this terrible fabric that was SO hard to clean.

We decided to get help from our friend Kristín and she made it  as good as new.

The she used are curtains from IKEA as cover (see here) because fabric is so expensive in Iceland.

We also baught these shelves from IKEA - and the reading area was ready.
